I love the EU because it invests in the North

I love the EU because it has funded so much in the north which central government would not do. Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool and all the rest. Infrastructure development, arts, charity and community sector initiatives, start ups, new buildings, parks, playgrounds and more. The social EU looks after the north.

I love the EU because it protects workers’ rights

“The EU protects workers’ rights.” That’s just a Remain fib, right? After all, some of those rights existed before the EU regulations, and probably the rest would have been put in place by now by one or another government. And in many cases the UK has legislated better rights than those mandated by the EU,

That’s mostly true. We could debate all day about who created those rights. What the EU does is PROTECTS those rights.

I love the EU because it cuts red tape to help businesses trade in Europe

Let’s say you’re a manufacturer of widgets. You’ve got a nice profitable market in the UK and you think you could shift some in China too. So you look into selling in China. First off, the Chinese have different safety regulations from the UK, and also your widget isn’t quite compatible with the products currently sold in China, so you have to do some redesigning. Then you have to test to some safety standards you’ve never heard of, which you have to pay someone in China to do because nobody in the UK understands them.

I love the EU because it is a good thing

I am voting Remain, because I think the EU is a Good Thing that we would be dumb to leave. However, it seems the Remain campaign is seeking ever more to influence people based on fear of Brexit. While I agree that leaving is scary, I would love to hear more about the many benefits of the EU as well.
